Passionate About Inspiring Others
I began leading outdoor wilderness expeditions in 1985 with the Colorado Outward Bound School, sharing my time between the mountains of Montana ski patrolling and Baja California Sur teaching sea kayaking in the Sea of Cortez.
My medical training has included Wilderness EMT, a Flight Nurse on a helicopter, Doctors Without Borders in Southern Sudan, Africa, an Emergency Medicine Nurse Practitioner, and a Functional Medicine provider.
I earned a PhD in Mind-Body Medicine and Integrative and Functional Nutrition, focusing on Nature-Based Healthcare as a social determinant of global health.
I completed the advanced certification for Psychedelic-Assisted Therapy with Naropa University. Psychedelic-Assisted Therapy supports the therapeutic use of psilocybin in the treatment of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and treatment-resistant depression.
I created the Nature Institute for Integrative and Functional Medicine as a model for nature-based healthcare, aiming to bring people back to nature's healing surroundings.
The Nature Institute of Integrative and Functional Medicine is designed to work collaboratively with each individual so that we can support you on your journey to greater health. We will guide you and teach you how to maximize energy to support your physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual body.
